Supplier Surveys: How Do Your Suppliers Rate Your Performance?
This presentation will outline how companies can develop and
implement a supplier survey process, which can improve supplier – customer
relationships and enhance supplier management. Traditionally, communications
between customer and supplier were one-sided, and candid feedback from suppliers
was viewed as negative. Supplier feedback is often filtered by the supplier's
sales group, who do not want to offend their customer. Learn how one company
implemented a supplier surveyprocess with its suppliers, and how honest supplier
responses helped improve overall supplier and customer relations. This
presentation will benefit not only purchasing and materials management
professionals, but anyone with external or internal customers who can provide
honest feedback on the performance of their department, plant or
company.

Biography
Michael C. Moody, CPIM, CSCP,
C.P.M. is Director of Materials for Imperial Group, an Accuride Company,
manufacturer of components and fabrications for the heavy truck and bus
industry. Michael has worked for several manufacturing companies, including ARC
Automotive, Danaher Corporation, and Johnson Controls, in various purchasing and
materials assignments. He is a graduate of East Tennessee State University, and
is certified by APICS and ISM. Mr. Moody served on the APICS board of directors
from 1995 - 1997, as Region XII Vice President and VP of Membership; Chapter
Development, and is currently Past President of the Nashville chapter of
APICS.
